Marble
Soft veining and the timeless look of Italian stone.
Marble starts as limestone and is transformed by heat and pressure, which creates the flowing veins it’s known for.
It’s softer than granite and reacts to acids like lemon juice and wine, which can leave dull marks called etching. Many people love the way it ages. If you’d rather it stayed perfect, a honed finish and a good sealer help, or we can show you quartz that looks like marble.

Questions we get asked
Can I have marble in my kitchen?
Yes, if you’re happy for it to show some life. Many of our clients choose marble islands and granite or quartz for the perimeter.
What’s the difference between Calacatta and Carrara?
Carrara has soft, feathery grey veining on a grey-white background. Calacatta is whiter with bolder, often gold-toned veins, and is rarer.
